Our amazing Pilates program is geared to help energize, strengthen, and tone your entire body. Our Pilates program is the perfect complement to our world-class Kickboxing program.

What is Pilates? Pronounced Pi-LAH-teez:
Pilates is a non-impact workout designed by Josef H. Pilates, who was born in 1880. Due to a significant illnesses in his early childhood,
he developed an exercise program which combined both mental and physical fitness. The key to the exercise program is fully engaging the muscles which comprise the “trunk” or core (the abs, the obliques, and the lower back) while breathing slowly. Modern Pilates is practiced in many ways. "Some programs use a large "bed-like" machine called a Reformer or another piece of equipment called a Cadillac (it is often referred to as "The Rack" as it resembles something you might find in a medieval torture chamber), other programs use balls or bands." Our program is called “Mat Pilates” which only uses a mat. Pilates is popular with many athletes, especially dancers who require extraordinary strong, long, and lean bodies.
What are the benefits of Pilates?
Each one-hour Pilates class will strengthen your core and back. The result of this will be a longer leaner looking body.
Pilates exercises, when executed correctly, will result in stronger abs and overall body strength. Josef Pilates once summarized the Pilates workout by stating, “You will feel better in 10 sessions, look better in 20 sessions, and have a completely new body in 30 sessions.” Based upon the feedback from our members who have taken our classes, this certainly rings true.
